So I lost a bet with a friend and was requested to illustrated these two video game characters dancing together. I'm really happy with the way it came out, I should lose bets more often haha xD
(The BG is not my own original artwork at all, just to be clear, it comes from a game called Team Fortress 2)
Its been a while working with the CEO of GrabOp, I got consent from her to upload all the imagery onto my blog. I began on this project back when it was just a script,
These are the character designs that came forth from there on.
We ended up with 3 main characters from 5 and one mascot.
These are not the finalized characters either haha there were a lot of sketches, I just picked the ones that looked the best to post.
This guy became the mascot, but this is not his final form.
This is a character Design I created with a certain character personality and story in mind.
I tried out the style of Zelda:Wind Waker, surprisingly the line work was a little difficult, only because each time I tried to make those messy strokes and uneven line weight, I would automatically go back and fix it only to try and mess it up again. haha.
Hopefully there will be more of these kind of Art Pieces coming along in the future.
Name: Mr. Necromancer (I really dislike naming things, maybe he'll get one later)
Story: Obsessed with getting his lost love back he becomes a necromancer. Somewhere along the way his morals got twisted and instead of living out a happy life, he keeps her soul captive in a jar. Coming back from the dead makes her distressed because she wants nothing more than to be at rest. He doesn't quite understand it though, blinded by his loneliness.
I am loving the facial expressions and a little sad that I was able to come up with them because they were at one point on my face xD haha. I hope you enjoy~
December 2014 - 11 Second Club Animation
This one ranked 71 out of 173.
I got an awesome critique on this piece, I need to be looser and less... structured? Less tense.
What he said made sense to me at least, so in the January competition I'm going to try to put certain things aside like proportion, and try to make things looser, more fluid, and entertaining. Rather than focusing on getting everything "right" all the time.
